CANADIAN REGION OF THE COMMONWEALTH PARLIAMENTARY ASSOCIATION

Because Canada is its own region within the CPA, it contains 14 branches – one for each province and territory, as well as one for the federal parliament. The Canadian Region branches are :

In addition, Canada has a Regional Executive Committee that coordinates CPA activities within the region. As members, all parliaments and legislatures are entitled to attend the annual general assemblies of the CPA.

Within the Canadian Region, there is an active program of exchanges, conferences and seminars for Canadian legislators. The Canadian Region sponsors its own publication, the Canadian Parliamentary Review.

The last time Canada and the Canadian Region hosted the CPC was in September 2004. The event was presented in Ottawa, Québec City and Toronto.

</div></div><hr>Comme le Canada constitue une région à part entière au sein de l’APC, il compte 14 sections, c’est-à-dire une pour chaque province et territoire, ainsi qu’une pour le Parlement fédéral. Les sections de la Région canadienne sont :<ul><li>la section canadienne (fédérale)</li><li>la section de l’Alberta</li><li>la section de la Colombie-Britannique</li><li>la section de l’Île-du-Prince-Édouard</li><li>la section du Manitoba</li><li>la section du Nouveau-Brunswick</li><li>la section de la Nouvelle-Écosse</li><li>la section du Nunavut</li><li>la section de l’Ontario</li><li>la section du Québec</li><li>la section de la Saskatchewan</li><li>la section de Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador</li><li>la section des Territoires du Nord-Ouest</li><li>la section du Yukon</li></ul><hr>En outre, le Canada dispose d’un Comité exécutif régional qui coordonne les activités de l’APC au sein de la région. En tant que membres, l’ensemble des parlements et assemblées législatives ont le droit d’assister aux assemblées générales annuelles de l’APC.Au sein de la région canadienne, il existe un programme actif d’échanges, de conférences et de séminaires pour les législateurs canadiens. La Région canadienne publie son propre bulletin, la <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="http://www.revparlcan.ca/en/index/">Revue parlementaire canadienne</a>.Le Canada et la Région canadienne ont accueilli la Conférence parlementaire du Commonwealth (CPC) pour la dernière fois en septembre 2004.
